Payroll Specialist – Green Bay, WI 54313

Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist

  • Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll for a variety of business clients
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports
  • Prepare sales tax, personal property tax, and corporate annual filing reports
  • Data entry, filing, scanning, and photocopying
  • Receive incoming phone calls and schedule meetings
  • Greet clients

Qualifications for Payroll Specialist

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience in a payroll position, 1 year minimum required
  • Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
  • Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks
  • Exceptional multitasking and organization skills
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
