Director Strategic Consumer Insights (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


Create, develop, and drive implementation of strategies by translating opportunities into a brand point of view and structuring initiatives to deliver results and impact as outlined in the Strategic Business Plan.


 


Key Responsibilities


  • Create, develop, and drive implementation of strategies by translating opportunities into a brand point of view and structuring initiatives to deliver results and impact as outlined in the SBP.
  • Lead and steer multiple initiatives by briefing global and cross-functional departmetns to deliver end to end completion. This includes defining and ensuring logistics for the team to complete (e.g. agendas, materials, reports, presentations and communications).
  • Brief and initiate research fields and priorities. Manage the synthesis of research and insights from various data sources to validate objectives.
  • Define the impact, ambition and take responsibility for monitoring multiple initiatives. Adapt initiative scope and roadmap in order to achieve objectives and create impact as planned. Act on feedback to guarantee implementation.
  • Lead and steer communication between all stakeholders. Ensure consistent and targeted communication based on relevant decision makers.
  • Build and motivate a strong collaborative team that is driven to provide holistic results from the Brand Strategy team overall.
  • Own and define consumer point of view for any strategic conversation with business partners.
  • Ensure consumer strategy point of view is considered for any strategic initiatives and respective research requirements are executed
  • Own synthesis of research results and translation into business recommendations in alignment with internal business partners (virtual teams)


 


Monitoring


  • Prioritize budget planning and resource needs. Maintain direct contact with functional counterparts (finance, legal…) to ensure compliance (suppliers, contracts, partners).

    Responsible that scope of work is compliant with adidas standards.

  • Impact of work affects job functions beyond own job function

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • University degree in business / marketing (Master or MBA preferred)
  • Proven experience of cross-functional and collaborative working (Matrix organisation)
  • Functional: 8+ years of relevant work experience in Marketing / brand (experience in Finance is a plus)
  • Proven Track Record across various functions, divisions respectively sub-labels (3+)
