Analyst, Tax – (Frimley, England, United Kingdom)

The purpose of this role is to work on Indirect Tax, in particular, HQ VAT compliance in a number of EMEA countries where HQ has indirect tax compliance responsibilities; VAT Returns, EC Sales lists, Intrastat. However a key part of this role will also be required to support in an advisory capacity dealing with queries from key customers within the Shared Service Centre (SSC) and supporting the rest of the tax team on projects and continuous process improvement

Process Accountability

  • Ensure filing of accurate and on time Indirect Tax compliance returns
  • Clear adherence to work instructions and processes within the Tax team
  • Respond to VAT queries from all parts of the SCJ SSC
  • Ensure knowledge of European Indirect Tax compliance rules is up to date so as to ensure active participation in projects

Relationship Management

  • Develop and sustain efficient close relationships with key customers
  • Help in ensuring that the wider SSC team have the required knowledge and support to enter transactions into SAP correctly from an indirect tax perspective
  • Building a trust relationship with SSC team, demonstrating a reasonable VAT knowledge in all key business areas
  • Supporting delivery of training to SSC team members on indirect tax changes and processes
  • Assist in ensuring continuous coverage of indirect tax reporting through cross country knowledge transfer and common processes and controls



  • Ability to operate on own level and make decisions, with support where required
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
