Job Summary:
As one of four individuals working in the International Accounting group, this position will manage and coordinate all aspects of the international accounting functions and financial reporting duties including, day-to-day issues, month-end closing, reconciliations, reporting, treasury management and VAT fillings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee general accounting for the international subsidiaries
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of month-end journal entries
- Develop, update, and post monthly recurring journal entries
- Prepare G/L account reconciliations including intercompany reconciliations between Corporate and subsidiary offices
- Reconcile sub-ledgers (A/P, A/R, Inventory, Cash, and Fixed Assets) to the general ledger
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results
- Prepare monthly management reporting for the International Division and individual subsidiaries
- Assist in annual audit and tax of the subsidiaries including interfacing with the local accounting firms
- Prepare and file VAT returns for the subsidiaries and/or interface with local accounting firms for completion thereof
- Identify financial accounting opportunities and alternatives to meet company objectives and improve efficiency
- Work with the corporate team and individual subsidiaries to assist in the integration of the subsidiaries to the new Microsoft D365 ERP system
- Assist in ensuring proper internal controls
- Oversee International Treasury Management (JP Morgan)
- Other projects and duties as assigned for both Corporate and international operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with four to six years of related experience and CPA certification required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional and efficient manner
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system preferred
- Experience with sales query or similar analytics software preferred
